About Scott

As for my running, in August 2025, I'll turn 61 years old. I ran cross country in junior high school and basically didn’t run again until my early 40s. My Great grandfather was a rather renowned foot-racer in his day (100 Yard Dash) and my father was a mile specialist who, he often recounted, qualified for the 1952 Melbourne Olympics. Still, I don’t think too much of this running pedigree filtered down to me, actually think I’m more like my mother, smart and persistent, and that these are qualities of more value than "natural talent." As far as I’m concerned, we were indeed, “Born to Run” and just how far or fast, is completely up to us. If you are interested in making the most of your running potential I hope you can join me in going further and faster than you ever thought possible. My Personal Records that all came, with smart and persistent training, after I was 45 years old. 5K – 16:41 10K – 35:35 Half Marathon – 1:18:03 Marathon – 2:45:11 Most of what I think about running I've put to paper. My guide to running is available on Amazon. Just search "Samurai Running" or copy and paste this link: https://a.co/d/1UULnuk

Description

It matters not whether you have an upcoming “real race” or because of this Covid-19 situation a "virtual race," this plan will work. I will send you two weeks of initial workouts and after looking at those we will send you a monthly schedule every month (X4) with workouts based on your current ability and specific goals. At the beginning of each month’s training until you complete the training, we offer email correspondence, or we can touch base on “Skype”, “Zoom” or a Text app like “line” or “whatsapp”. This is not a cookie cutter plan but one that will adapt the unique approach my past clients (Beginners, Masters and Semi Pros) and I have used to great success. Coaching and racing in Japan over the past 20 years has given me great insight to what works, and what doesn’t, and I will share this knowledge with you.

Minimum Requirements

If you are looking to get a new PR/PB I need you to be able to train 5 days a week and be able (at present) to run about 10 miles (16 kms) at an easy pace without too much trouble. If you are running the distance for the first-time - There are no minimum requirements.

Communication

unlimited emails, unlimited text-messages, 1 call per month

$120.00 - 18 week plan
