About Andie

Personally I am a semi-pro distance runner Athletes For Yoga and The Feed. I was a 2x10k All-American while a collegiate athlete at NC State, and a 2016 Olympic Trials Marathon Qualifier as a post-collegiate. As an athlete myself, my career has involved a lot of ups and downs that have taught me a lot about the power of your mind and fueling the body. I have been coaching since 2018 and very much emphasize balance in training. I have worked with all ability levels from the beginner to the 2:45 marathoner. If you want to learn more about me, follow me on any of my social media platforms. I believe very much in the power of sharing my story. I run and coach because it feels like my way to impact others. I always encourage my athletes to find the reason they run because training won't always be linear and knowing your reason helps to stay centered.

Description

Individualized training geared to meet the athletes needs and lifestyle. Includes monitored weekly workouts through V.O2 and seasonal base plans. The seasonal base plan gives us a road map of how the season will progress in terms of mileage, long runs, and races. This is a general outline of the season that often times changes as we go. The weekly V.O2 workouts contain the specifics and has space for athletes to leave feedback on how the run went, splits, and how things felt. I love seeing athlete notes because they help me individualize the training. No one size fits all! Additional services (at no extra cost) can include: weekly check ins via zoom, nutrition & biomechanics tips. Race plans for goal races also included. My number one goal is to coach the whole person and not just the runner. Running is so much more than the physicality so I work with my athletes in building confidence and enjoyment of the sport. Part of having a coach is to help process and interpret the good and bad workouts. I do not offer general training plans because I think coaching should be unique to the client! Before coaching any athlete I send out a questionnaire and then plan a virtual meeting to discuss goals and PR's. This is free and no commitment is required before this. Additionally, all of my athletes will have exclusive access to discounts from some of my sponsors.

I really appreciated all of her feedback about everything from fueling to race shoes to mindset practice. It was such a help to get feedback on how I could modify my training when things like travel and injury came up. Such a supportive coaching experience, and with her help I was able to improve my marathon time by more than 10 minutes. Thank you, Andie!
