The San Diego Half Marathon is an annual 13.1-mile race held in downtown San Diego, California, featuring a scenic route through notable city landmarks such as Harbor Drive, Liberty Station, Shelter Island, and the historic Gaslamp Quarter. The event encourages runners of all abilities and includes both individual and team categories.
The course combines flat stretches along San Diego’s waterfront and city streets with gradual inclines, particularly between miles 8 and 10, before a downhill finish through downtown.
There is a gradual uphill between miles 8 and 10, which is then followed by a steady downhill towards the finish line. The majority of the race features relatively moderate elevation.
