Course Terrain
The course spans the five boroughs of New York City: Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan. It involves running over several bridges and is primarily on paved roadway, through city streets and avenues lined with enthusiastic crowds.
Elevation Changes
The course is mostly flat but features notable elevation changes, particularly at the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge start and other bridge crossings. Some gentle hills are present in Central Park toward the finish.
