The Brooklyn Half Marathon, organized by New York Road Runners, is one of the largest half marathons in the United States, taking runners on a scenic tour through Brooklyn from Prospect Park to Coney Island.
Course Terrain
The course begins at Prospect Park and heads toward Coney Island, featuring mostly paved roads through urban neighborhoods with some gentle rolling hills, particularly near the park. The majority of the route is flat, especially the second half leading to the beachfront finish.
Elevation Changes
There are slight elevation changes at the start within and near Prospect Park, but the remainder of the course is predominantly flat, allowing for fast splits toward the end.
