Athletes will fill out a detailed questionnaire in order to fine-tune a custom marathon plan. The plan will be loaded into the VDOT O2 app where I will monitor progress and make pace adjustments as necessary. We will communicate once a month via email to discuss any questions, concerns, etc.
30+ miles per week for 4 straight weeks leading up to the start of the plan.

Although I've completed two Ironman triathlons and several Ironman 70.3 triathlons, I'm an off-road/XTERRA triathlete by trade whose strength is in the run whether it's on the trail or pavement. I have had success as a road runner as well however; qualifying for and running all three North American World Marathon Majors (Boston 2:54, NYC 2:56, Chicago 2:49). Under the guidance of VDOT O2 and Dr. Daniels' The Run SMART Project I have now lowered my first marathon time in 2012 by over 60 minutes (2019 Indy 2:45 PR) and qualified for Boston eight consecutive times.
