RunSedona Race 5k Training Plan 4 days of running per week 1 optional cross train day or easy run (you can add in more running or cross training days if that’s already part of your routine!) 2 days off Training is listed in *minutes* with ranges to accommodate a wide range of runners’ needs, so the mileage ranges below might be different for you depending on how fast you run. If you add in a 5th day of running your weekly mileage will be higher. Lowest mileage range is approximately 17-21 mpw Highest mileage range is approximately 24-29 mpw An example of a 4-day training week looks like the one listed below (keep in mind, YOU choose the days you want to run after sign up): Monday - Easy Run + Strides Tuesday - Quality Session (Workout) Wednesday - Off Day Thursday - Easy Run Friday - Off Day Saturday - Long Run Sunday - Optional Off Day or Cross Train Your RunSedona Race 5k Training Plan includes: Personalized training with paces specific to YOU! The ability to customize your training days and weekly schedule Exercise videos with pre and post running routines Training Explained videos to explain training efforts on workout days Coaching videos to keep you motivated along the way Detailed Coaching Tips on form, nutrition, hydration, and more Ability to add notes to track your progress Access to V.O2 App & Calendar Prompts to update your VDOT so paces adapt as you gain fitness Workouts sync to your watch, so you’ve got Leah along for the ride!

Minimum Requirements

Athletes should be able to run 4 days a week, between 30-45 minutes, to benefit from this plan. The mileage range gradually increases over the course of 12 weeks and your peak week will include runs between 45-60+ minutes.
