This runner focused strength plan is the perfect supplement to your training. If you are looking to take your running to the next level, prevent injury while getting faster and increasing endurance, this is your answer! Your program includes 2 strength workouts each week, which can be repeated twice per week if you’re seeking to emphasize these practices in your training. Strength sessions target the muscles, groups and chains that we rely on for our running. Running specific strength work will increase firing of fast twitch muscle fibers, muscular endurance and the physical potential of your body to store glycogen, the fuel our body consumes while we run, resulting in more effortless speed and sustainable endurance. All workouts are uploaded via the VDOT platform. Training plans come with full use of the VDOT platform for you to takes notes and log reps and weight so you can easily track performance and see your progress. The program is developed after an in-take interview and includes texting to ask questions and discuss training. The duration of the program is to be determined, priced monthly.
