Be prepared to get out of your comfort zone, be committed to supplementing your training with weekly strength training, and have access to healthcare and good running shoes. Also, be honest about your boundaries with training. I think it is important that athletes challenge themselves, but only to an extent that allows them to feel safe and healthy. The running that you should be doing is the running that fulfills you or makes you happy - no more, no less.

Hi! I’m a recreational runner who has been coaching friends and friends of friends since 2023. With growing interest in the art of coaching and consistent success with my clients, I've decided to expand my services to those beyond my network. I ran a little bit of cross country in high school; my Varsity Basketball coach made us all join the cross country team during preseasons. I began to prioritize running in 2019, and I soon realized how transformative a running practice can be. I continue to run regularly and race marathons occasionally.
